School Website
Our school website is up and running. The official launch date is set for January 26. Our next meeting, Thursday, Jan. 21, will be devoted to us adding information to our personal page on the school website. You can go to Mrs. Hall's or to Mrs. Courson's page for examples.
Clickers
Today Mr. Littleton showed us all how to use Clickers in our classrooms. Every grade level has two sets of Clickers. The seventh grade has three sets. So, all of us have access to them. Let's try to each use them at least one time before the end of the school year.

Animoto and Elf Yourself
I showed my husband the Animoto video that I made in class yesterday. He immediately joined Animoto for the entire year. He has already made three long videos for our church. He loves it!
Plus, I showed him the elfyourself website from Office Max http://www.elfyourself.com/, and he now has our family dancing and singing as elves on Facebook. :)

Animoto
I was able to view my video last night and really enjoyed the memories. Our meeting yesterday was so helpful. I would like to collect pictures of math activities throughout the year and show the video next year to our incoming six grade students.

Info learned at our PLC2 meeting
Our school system has a new website and so do each of the schools. The websites will be updated daily. Every teacher in the system will have her/his own webpage and will be expected to keep it updated daily. By January the new sites should be ready. We could work on our websites together in our after school meetings.
Downloading pictures to Laptop
I downloaded my pictures off my camera to my laptop computer at home. I then made a slide show as a screen saver. I bet you can't guess which pictures I have on my computer -
GRAYSON!!! The most adorable person in my life!! My husband and I have both enjoyed the pictures.

Interactive Graphic Organizer
I showed this website on my dry-erase board, using the Infocus machine. Together as a class, we filled in the Free Form Web with information we have been learning in reading about quality of life. I sat at the computer and typed what the students called out. By the end of class,we had a completely filled in graphic organizer that the students copied into their notebooks. It was a great review for our week-long class discussions. The only problem was that since my Infocus machine is close to my board, we couldn't get the entire graphic organizer on the screen at one time. That was a little frustrating. I've got to move my Infocus back some.
Animoto
Mrs. Ward and Mrs. Hall are going to teach us all how to make an Animoto video at our Dec. 3 meeting. So, we all need to bring several digital pictures with us - either in our cameras or on a jump drive. We will meet in Mrs. Hall's room.
